I’ve always felt these demons following me wherever I go.
I try to run but my feet don’t take me fast enough.
I turn and see you there.
I try to scream but the words don’t come out.
You place your hands around my neck, and I let you squeeze hard, waiting for the pain to be over.
I want you to hurry, squeeze harder.
End this agony.
But you don’t.
You let go, just in time.
And you stand there smiling as I drop to the floor.
Death is easy, death is peaceful.
But you don’t let me go that easy.
This game you play, it amuses you.
You want control, control of me.
And I give it to you.
